The Ellmann House was built in 1892 of materials shipped by steam ship and then hauled by hand to its hill side building site overlooking the village. The house was the summer home of Clarence Darrow for five years.

Steve was very timely with his communication an flexible with our arrival time. He gave us a tour of the house and even a little history which was neat! The house was close to town, easy to walk places and very easy to get in and out of for parking! We had a wonderful stay and look forward to another trip up!
